Lux Series

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring… until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something… unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is.

Since I meet my beloved Daemon I'm completely and irrevocably in love with him and the whole Lux Series.

At first I was a bit hesitant about reading the Lux series because I'm one of those readers that buys all or nothing. And I wasn't in the mood of reading 5 books with more than 400 pages that I didn't like.
But that wasn't the case at all! I finished the whole series in a week (a couple of days without much sleep, but you have to do what you have to do).

Katy's a book review blogger. Finally a book whose main character is booknerd like us!
I loved the way Jennifer wrote the series, just like a teenage girl would tell what she's thinking and her story, making the books fast-paced, entertaining and impossible to put them down.

The one tiny little thing that I can complain about is Katy's stubbornness. You can't deny your attraction to Daemon Hottie Black. Look, I'm attracted to him. You are attracted to him. We are all attracted to him. Get over it! This can get a bit annoying, specially in the second book. Fortunately it doesn't last the whole series.

At first it can sound like Twilight, Bella I mean Katy moves to a little town called Forks Petersburg where she meets the supernatural hottie Edward Daemon who in the beginning acts like a jerk but deep down he cares about Bella Katy. Because of Edward's Daemon's supernatural world Bella Katy is always at risk.

Since the second book the story of Daemon and Katy takes a totally different path from Twilight don't worry.

Thank you Jennifer for making my boyfriend standards impossibly high. If I don't have a boyfriend in the next few year I'm going to blame you.
