The One

The last book of The Selection series by Kiera Cass.
America never dreamed she would find herself anywhere close to the crown—or to Prince Maxon's heart. But as the competition approaches its end and the threats outside the palace walls grow more vicious, America realizes just how much she stands to lose—and how hard she'll have to fight for the future she wants.
First of all, I'M IN LOVE WITH THAT WEDDING DRESS. It's just perfect, I've found my dress, now I'll have to wait some years to have a wedding and wear it.

After The Elite I couldn't stop thinking about what would happen next, a couple of weeks ago I got my answers.
Through all the books we can see perfectly the evolution of America: in The Selection she was totally against everything in the palace, in The Elite her feelings for Maxon start growing and The One is the peak of her love for Maxon.
The One was a roller coaster of emotions when Maxon told America that she was the chosen girl I was all happiness. Then Maxon finds out that Aspen was America's boyfriend and he chooses Kriss instead of America and I was all sadness. This couldn't end like this both of them were going to ruin their lives.
When the attack starts and a rebel shoots Celeste I had to reread that part, I was like WHAT HAS JUST HAPPENED?!?!
Celeste is dead (I was starting to like her, she was no longer the diva that she was in the previous books) and Maxon's been shot, I thought he was going to die there and America holding his hand.
Fortunately I was wrong, the moment Aspen said that Maxon was not dead I started literally jumping.
The marriage proposal was as I expected, perfect.
It's a spellbinding, amazing and fantastic book.
In the end everybody gets a happy ending but as America says "This isn't a happily ever after. It's so muxh more than that."
