Finally the epic conclusion of the sixth and final book the The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare.
Clary and her friends fight the greatest evil they have ever faced: Clary's own brother.
Sebastian Morgenstern is on the move, systematically turning Shadowhunter against Shadowhunter. Bearing the Infernal Cup, he transforms Shadowhunters into creatures out of nightmare, tearing apart families and lovers as the ranks of his Endarkened army swell.

The embattled
Shadowhunters withdraw to Idris - but not even the famed demon towers of
Alicante can keep Sebastian at bay. And with the Nephilim trapped in
Idris, who will guard the world against demons?
After more than a year of wait to read this fantastic book I finished it in less than three days (it has 725 pages!).
Now that it's finished I feel... empty. However in my opinion City of Heavenly Fire is best way Cassandra could have ended the series.
I
have no words to describe it (don't worry even so I'll write the
review). Cassandra didn't disappoint me, it was worth it every day
waiting.
The snippets and spoiler art where all true (you can see them on Cassandra's tumblr) and when I read those parts I was like ohhh now I get it (don't worry everything isn't what it seems).
The
book is just perfect nothing to complain about. And the way Casandra
wrote the story was really appropriate so we get to know all the details
from different points of view.
City of Heavenly Fire has action from the first page till the last page, Cassie doesn't waste time.
Mixing The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments was a really good point that I like very much.
We
have felt the grief and joy of the characters because that's the thing
about Cassandra's books it's impossible to not get attached to the
characters, they're really complex and each one has a unique personality
that makes them totally real (seriously I know Clary better than some
of my classmates).
Another
thing that makes the series a one-of-a-kind is the world Clare created
for her characters: Idris, Alicante, the Institutes, The Clave... When
it comes to introduce the reader in that imaginary world Cassandra is
the best, with her descriptions you can imagine exactly what Cassandra
wants you to imagine, the places we visit in City of Heavenly Fire
highlight that quality in Clare's writing.
One
of the things I like the most of the series is the evolution of the
relationship of Clary and Jace, they started as perfect strangers
through the books the get to know each other, dodging the obstacles to
be together. At the end they know each others weaknesses and strengths,
they're two halves of the same heart (that sounds a little bit sappy).
Like I said it's the epic end that The Mortal Instruments deserve.
I'm looking forward to reading The Dark Artifices!
