Crescendo

The sequel of Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick.
Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever (if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar.
Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something.

I had to leave the Hush Hush saga apart to read City of Heavenly Fire, but now I've finished all the books in the series ooops...
The last pages of Hush Hush were a happily ever after but now there are problems in paradise.
The archangels have found out that Patch has more that guardian angel business with Nora and that goes against the rules (damn rules).
Nora to protect Patch decides to break up with him (in that very moment I wanted to slap Nora with her own book).
Patch's spending more time with... Marcie! Marcie is the most annoying, stupid (and other adjectives I'm not going to write) character.
If I had to describe Crescendo in one word it would be nerve-wracking. Nora isn't sure if Patch loves her and loves the anorexic pig (aka Marcie) instead. And then Patch says something cute and everything's all right. But right after he does something dumb.
The end was like Hush Hush, didn't expect it at all. One of the things like from Becca's books is that the way books are written makes them totally unpredictable, the end will always surprise you.
The knew character, Scott had an essential role in Crescendo and he'll get a more important role in the next books.
