The Scorch Trials is the second book of The Maze Runner trilogy by James Dashner.
Solving the Maze was supposed to be the end.
Thomas was sure that escape from the Maze would mean freedom for him and the Gladers. But WICKED isn’t done yet. Phase Two has just begun. The Scorch.
There are no rules. There is no help. You either make it or you die.
The Gladers have two weeks to cross through the Scorch—the most burned-out section of the world. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.
Friendships will be tested. Loyalties will be broken. All bets are off.
There are others now. Their survival depends on the Gladers’ destruction—and they’re determined to survive.

Confusion is the word that in my opinion could sum up all the book.
The Scorch Trials has a lot of plot twists that make me feel as confused as the Gladers. I don't know who I should trust and who I shouldn't. This book made me want to pull my hair out!!
After a whole book waiting for it, finally love has arrived. There's a kind of love triangle but it's totally different from other books (it isn't sappy so boys you can read this). This love triangle hasn't got the indecision of the character who has to make the choice, in this case Thomas, usually that incapacity to make decisions makes me want to slap the face of the character this his/her own book.
There are new characters, Jorge and Brenda, I'd have liked to know more about them for example: What the heck were they doing in the Scorch?? I want this question answered in The Death Cure.
I liked The Scorch Trials but not as much as The Maze Runner
